My news

This page is designed to keep you informed of my latest news, events concerning myself, and to present items of interest to those who would like to keep in touch with what I get up to here in Bristol and elsewhere. Consider it as an occasional mini-blog, or an extended in-house version of Twitter.

There’s also a practical side to this page: it is here where I will announce, for example, when I am not available to take sessions, perhaps because I am travelling or simply taking a break, as well as information about my equipment and implements and new items that I may acquire from time to time.

If it’s easier for some of you to follow me on Twitter, I’ve made it simple: just click on the Twitter icon to the right, and go straight to my profile to follow me on Twitter.

But since you’re here, why not take a look at my news below.

Brisbane bridges again

Brisbane bridges again

This is the last installment of my time-away tales, and those with long memories might feel the pin-pricks of déjà vu. This would be because I am reprising one of the themes of my last visit to Brisbane: the city’s bridges.

So here are four new pics of bridges, the shots – light and angles – being different from my previous ones...Read more

From far and wide do they travel

From near and far, wide and close do my visitors travel to spend time in my Domestic Room and in my Studio. I’ve had visitors travelling from Germany, America, Spain and France, from Scotland, Manchester, Birmingham, Oxford and London who have ended up at my mercy and good graces.

In this case, as with these two particular pictures...Read more

Pineapples and ‘asparagus’

I’m nearing the end of my holiday saga (and snaps). Since I love pineapples almost as much as mangos, what else is a touring dominatrix going to do in the land of pineapples? Why, visit a pineapple plantation, of course! So that’s exactly what I did, and here are the (amateur) pictures to prove it. (Well, the pics don’t “prove” I was there, but why else would I be going on about pineapples and...Read more

Three cityscapes

I’m continuing for the time being with some more tales of my travels earlier this year. You will see in these three pictures various aspects of the Brisbane city skyline, from the river, and at night with fireworks.

I’ll begin with the third pic, the fireworks one. You will see at the left of the image, stretching the length of the frame from bottom to top...Read more

Spiders: for real, and for art

If you have a “thing” about spiders (let’s call it a phobia), then this is just the News item for you. And you all thought I didn’t do domination over the internet!

Now, the little beastie in the first pic – okay, it’s not so little for a spider – might look scary, but it’s not as scary as the second one, if the second one happened to be a real spider. You see, it’s a...Read more

It’s not the Mississippi, but it will do

It’s not the Mississippi, but it will do

The Brisbane River is not the Mississippi, and the Kookaburra Queen II is not the Natchez VIII or the American Queen, but they will do for an evocative river cruise in an old-style paddle steamer.

Yes, I’m returning to the theme of my time away at the beginning of the year – I still haven’t caught up with all the pictures and their stories...Read more

And technology is supposed to be our servant?

Mon. 21 Mar. 2016

Visitors to my website over the last two weeks, whether regular visitors or newcomers, will probably have noticed some problems. This was most obviously the case when both my main site and my Bristol site were “down” altogether and completely unavailable during the period 9–13 March. There have been some other (relatively) minor problems, some of which are ongoing but that do not affect the basic functioning of the site.

These problems are not to do with my websites, but with their server: there were a lot more websites affected than just mine. The issue...Read more

And now for ‘Fifty Shades of Green’

And now for ‘Fifty Shades of Green’

As regular visitors to my website will be aware, I was absent for the whole of January whilst I indulged in my annual international travel. According to tradition, I took a number of holiday snaps, and I’ve only just finished going through and sorting them. And as per my own tradition, a select number I choose to post here on my News page.

Now, considering I mentioned that well-known Fifty Shades of Grey...Read more

Who needs to wait for crime before reaching for the cuffs?

Who needs to wait for crime before reaching for the cuffs?

I happened to be doing a spot of browsing in a public library recently when I came across the crime section. I was quite taken by the symbol they’d chosen to illustrate said crime section; I’m sure it will be immediately apparent why this was the case. Rather striking, isn’t it, and I must also say that I was also somewhat amused by it.

There was no other section that could match this one for the appeal of its shelf-end graphic; even so, I did not go looking for Fifty Shades of Grey on the shelves, and if that piece of second-rate adolescent’s fantasy writing was indeed any inspiration to the library staff responsible for decorating the crime shelves, then I...Read more

Lost in Space in a G-string

I know, first glance at this News item’s title will have you imagining Will Robinson going for a stroll, or perhaps Major West and Judy doing an unscripted dance, on some alien planet wearing nought but a G-string. The real perverts among you will no doubt see said G-string on the Robot...

Alas, there was no such episode, no such escapades, in the long-running 1960s sci-fi TV series. The title of this item and the accompanying pics, instead, refer to...Read more
