Important: images showing marks left by CP are ‘likely’ to be banned

Fri. 25 Nov. 2016

Those who’ve been following my News page for a few years, or even only over the last 18 months, will know I have been communicating my concern about impending British internet censorship. No matter how it’s packaged, censorship is censorship, and onerous conditions are going to be imposed using “pornography” as the shoehorn: once that shoehorn of censorship has been inserted where it fits, more and more content will be levered onto the “virtually banned” list.

Be that as it may, an article in the Guardian on Wednesday brought the issue of “non-conventional sex acts” back into the spotlight. Directly relevant to those who enjoy even relatively conventional domestic scenarios, the article states:

Pictures and videos that show spanking, whipping or caning that leaves marks...are likely to be caught by the ban – in effect turning back the clock on Britain’s censorship regime to the pre-internet era.

Now I know what is meant by the “nanny state” – except any nanny I know would be quite happy to dish out a good spanking or caning and delight in the results.

The scheme the UK government will apparently impose upon websites with offending imagery will force site owners to implement complicated age-verification systems – which of course will open the door wide to hacking, mass loss of sensitive personal data, and blackmail. Foreign-based websites would need to implement such systems only for UK visitors, or else be banned outright. On this, the Guardian article outlines a third option for foreign sites:

In order to comply with the censorship rules, many mainstream adult websites would have to render whole sections inaccessible to UK audiences. That is despite the acts shown being legal for consenting over-16s to perform and for adults in almost all other liberal countries to film, distribute and watch.

For much more information, you could do worse than catch up with some of my previous News items on this topic; you could begin with one of the latter ones, such as Internet ‘filtering’ was always the thin edge of the wedge (part 4) and work your way back, or you could go straight to the first in that particular series, Internet ‘filtering’ was always the thin edge of the wedge (part 1).

PS: The picture is a new one, taken by myself during a recent visit to my Domestic Room by one of my faithfuls. As I’ve begun doing with my CBT pics, I’ve taken it upon myself to censor this image to illustrate what may well be a sign of things to come, enforced by the moralistic nanny state: images such as the ones I’ve posted previously may very well become a relic of the past (see, for example: Red stripes mean a lad rewarded; ’Tis the season for session reports; and, Champagne, chocolate, and a well-roasted bottom).
